How to use
How to use
#1 - Import Google Forms Grades to Classroom
Now you can import your Google Forms test grades right into your Google Classroom! Using this feature, students will have direct access to their grades and Forms feedback.
#2 - Use the Orange Slice Rubric Add-on
When using this Google Doc Add-on, you can grade assignment from right within Google Classroom and return the rubric to the students so that they can see your feedback.
#3 - Add Class 'Topics' and 'Materials'
Adding 'Topics' allows teachers to divide posts in Google Classroom into a more organized format. Topics can be used for classwork/homework, units, assignments by day, or whatever works best for the students.
The 'Materials' section of Google Classroom is an often underused tool, but it is very powerful. Use this section to house your important classroom documents, links, videos, etc., that students will need to access often.
#4 - Using the 'Question' Feature
The 'Question' feature is a great way to get the conversations started before and after class. Try posting a video or website for the student to visit and asking the students to respond to a posted question about the material. If preferred, it can be set up so that students can see and respond to each other's answers.
#5 - Student Doc Permissions
Student document permissions refer to Google Docs that are posted in assignments for student use. You can either allow the students to 'view' the document, 'edit' the document (be careful with this one because all of the students will be working in the same document), or 'make a copy for each student'. By making a copy for the students, they will receive their own document to edit and turn in for the assignment.
